He always loves us. That&#8217;s what we&#8217;re told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I just realised that maybe I don\u2019t always feel it because I don\u2019t actually turn to look at him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;re a toddler and you&#8217;re learning to walk. Your father stands behind you to urge you to go forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you fall, he is there to catch and soothe you. He is there to urge you to continue trying. Soon you walk without help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eventually you grow up. You don\u2019t need help walking anymore. You walk further and further away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you never turn around, you may not realise that he is still there, letting you go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we fall again as adult &#8216;children&#8217;, we turn around and ask for help, and we realise he was there all along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He didn&#8217;t force us to stop walking and stay close because he loves us and wants us to learn and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the prodigal son, sometimes we have to be lost before we think of turning to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when we finally turn back, we realise the Father never stopped being there for us.<br><br>He wants you to turn back, so you understand his love. So you can turn to him and be as a child again.<br><br>God can only be a Father to us if we are willing to be children to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><em>After a sharing session in church today where we discussed about The Father&#8217;s love.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How do we feel the Father\u2019s love?
